04.06.2011 New Toilets completed!

We are very happy to announce that the new toilet block of 6 toilets at the Magazine Community School has now been completed! Raise a Smile founding member Gray has spent the last 2 months in Zambia working alongside local construction workers to supervise the project. The new toilets will not only ensure more children stay in school by reducing the spread of disease, but will also provide an environmentally friendly and more sustainable alternative to the previous toilets.

This project was entirely funded by your generous donations and profits made by the Raise a Smile Hostel in Berlin. Thank you so much! If you want us to continue working to improve the lives of the Zambian children then sign up to be become a Raise a Smile member.
